Hotel and Spa close to shops and restaurants

The forever blue skies and exquisite white sand beaches of Playacar welcome you to the Mexican Riviera, an area of phenomenal beauty and varied terrain, with incredibly clear Caribbean waters, jungles, wetlands, ancient Mayan ruins, and crystal clear cenotes. Make yourself at home in this environment at the Mosquito Blue Hotel and Spa.

The Mosquito Blue is located on the lively pedestrian-only 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. The beach is just one hundred yards away, where Mosquito Blue has its own private beach club. The hotel itself is surrounded by all the fun and diversion of Playacar. Cancun International Airport is 45 miles away, and the hotel is within reasonable distance of the natural aquarium of Xel-Ha, Ecological park Xcaret, and even Tulum. You are also close to the Playacar Golf Club and Puerto Aventuras Golf Club.

The resort offers 45 rooms and suites (Standard, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Master Suite), an orchard, landscaped garden area, two swimming pools, outdoor dining, lounging chairs, a library with multilingual volumes, billiard table, computers with internet access (complimentary), Mosquito Beach Club & Restaurant, Kabalova Sushi bar, room service, beach bar with complimentary lounge chairs and towels, in-room massages (available upon request), an international news, gift, and magazine shop, and 24-hour concierge services.

The rooms and suites are large and luxurious. All rooms have marble showers and flooring. Typifying the architectural heritage of Mexico, these rooms offer beautifully carved mahogany beds and some rooms also feature chests and crafted coffee tables. The latest temperature control systems, lighting systems, all accented by the traditional Mosquito Blue colors of blues and yellows create a warm welcome.

The Mosquito Blue Restaurant is a creative Italian restaurant that offers a breakfast buffet, light menu for lunch with salads, pasta, fish, and cheeses, and a superb evening menu.

The Zen Eco Spa is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. It is next to the hotel in a secluded garden. Excellent design features a complete spectrum of amenities for your health, relaxation, and rejuvenation. The Spa Itza harvests natural botanicals from the surrounding environs according to the ancient Mayan tradition. The 4,000 square foot facility features pedicure stations and oxygen bars to welcome you on the ground floor. Then come the massage environments offering many techniques, including Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Hot Rock, Tandem, and Four Hands massage. The Sensory Floatation Room features a hydro tub and Mayan bath, custom-designed Vichy shower, and mud and algae treatments. On the roof finish with those sweet Caribbean breezes, an open-air shower, and a dry sauna and vapor lodge. Separate men's and women's dressing rooms contain secure lockers.

Golfers will enjoy the region! The Playacar Golf Course is within a mile from the hotel, the Puerto Aventuras Golf Course 15 miles away, and the Cancun Golf course at 32 miles distance.

Sightseeing is fabulous. Spend time in the towns of Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, and Cancun, the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres, the natural parks of Xcaret and Xel-Ha, and the Mayan mysteries at Tulum.

The Mexican Riviera is an excellent vacation destination. The area is filled with Nature's beauty, a relaxing ambience, sun, surf, incomparable sandy beaches, friendly people, and from the Mosquito Blue Hotel and Spa you can expect the best in service and vacation value.
